Our patent-pending Pot Pods allow guitar makers to build guitars free of plastic cavity covers. These self contained units slide into a pre drilled hole in the front of your guitar, and are hidden by your guitars knob(s). Individual cavities are easy to route, requiring only a drill press and a 1" forstner bit. Connect the cavities by drilling small holes inside the cavities to allow wires to pass through. When you are done you will have a guitar with hidden control cavities and no plastic covers! To access the pots, simply remove the knob and open the pod with a phillips head screwdriver.

The smaller 1" size is designed to facilitate the use of smaller guitar knobs such as standard bell knobs and speed knobs, as well as our own knobs.

The complete set includes a volume pod, a tone pod, and a blend pod. Also included, enough wire and a wiring diagram to help you complete your project.

Note: Professional Series Pot Pods are reccomended for more experienced guitar builders. Due to their small size, it's necessary to create extra room inside the 1" drilled cavities for the wires and capacitors to fit comfortably. This can be accomplished using a dremel with a cutting head attachment.

For guitars that will be recieving a maple top, you may want to consider routing a wide, deep channel in the guitar body prior to gluing the top and drilling the 1" cavity holes. This will allow space for the wires to bunch up as you install the pod.
